Magnesium deficiency in peach and its fertilization measures

1. The main symptoms: Peach lacks magnesium, the old leaf disease, young leaves do not generally occur. Most of the symptoms began to appear in the fruit enlargement period, but rarely in the early stages of growth. At the beginning of the disease, pale green water spots appear between the leaf margins and veins of the old leaves. The spots gradually expand into purple-brown necrotic plaques. The veins and their adjacent tissues still maintain the original green color, and sometimes the tip and the leaf base remain green. At the late stage of disease, the diseased leaf curls down early and develops from the lower part of the new shoot to the middle part of the upper part. Finally, only a few young leaves are attached to the tip of the shoot. Fine stems, less flower buds, fruit more easily fall.

2. Causes: Soil acidity, partial alkali, dry, organic fertilizer is insufficient, and the application of potassium, sodium, phosphorus, nitrogen and other fertilizers are excessive, are likely to cause nectarine magnesium deficiency.

3. Control methods

(1) Increase organic fertilizer and improve soil.

(2) Avoid excessive application of nitrogen and potassium fertilizers at one time.

(3) When magnesium deficiency is severe, combined with autumn basal fertilization, calcium, magnesium and phosphate fertilizers are mixed.

(4) Magnesium deficiency in the growing season can be carried out by foliar spraying magnesium sulfate 100 to 300 times.

A urine collection device or UCD is a device that allows the collection of urine for analysis (as in medical or forensic urinalysis) or for purposes of simple elimination (as in vehicles engaged in long voyages and not equipped with toilets, particularly aircraft and spacecraft). UCDs of the latter type are sometimes called piddle packs.[1]
