Main technical measures for raising shrimp in ponds

Green shrimp, also known as grass shrimp, is a special breed of aquaculture in our province. It has a certain reputation both at home and abroad. The main technical measures for pond culture are now described below.
1. Pond conditions. In a place with plenty of water and fresh water, shrimp ponds are built. The size of the shrimp ponds should be controlled under 7,000 square meters. For the sake of convenient aquaculture management, the size of the shrimp ponds should be 1500 to 3,500 square meters, and the water depth should be 1.5 to 2 meters. Before the shrimps are stocked, the ponds should be cleared and disinfected. When conditions permit, the pool water can be drained and the bottom of the pool can be exposed for one week. A deep ditch is excavated at the bottom of the pond, and a set of shrimp ponds is excavated at one end of the ditch to facilitate collection of shrimps at the time of capture. Plant some submerged plants around the bottom of the pond (such as Vallisneria, Hydrilla verticillata, etc.), whose planting area accounts for 1/4 to 1/3 of the area at the bottom of the pool. At the same time, the bamboo shoots are bundled into brooms, and several bunches are arranged in a row in the water layer of the pond as a habitat for green shrimp. When you pull the net, you can take out the bamboo sticks to dry it and use it repeatedly.
2. Shrimp stocking. The shrimp stocking can be carried out in both summer and autumn. Summer shrimp stocking from the beginning of March to April, to raise the main wintering shrimp seedlings, its size specifications for the 1000 to 3000 per kg, per 667 square meters of breeding water can be stocked shrimp 1.5 to 20,000. The general selection of the autumn fry stocking is carried out from June to July. The shrimp seedlings cultivated in the year of stocking are mainly based on the size of 2,000 to 5,000 pigs per kilogram. Each 667 square meters of breeding water can be stocked with 3 to 40 thousand larvae. . Shrimp seedlings require uniform size, strong physique, and complete limbs. Under normal circumstances, shrimp stocking should be conducted on rainy or sunny days in the morning and evening to avoid direct stimulation of the shrimp seedlings. Excessive temperatures will affect the survival rate of shrimp seedlings.
3. Scientific feeding. The diet of shrimp is more complex and has a certain degree of selectivity for the feed ingredients it feeds. Green shrimp like to eat peanut cakes, bean cakes, do not like to eat rapeseed cake, cotton cake? Green shrimp like eating clams, snails, etc., the utilization of animal waste is low. Every day, the amount of feed for the shrimp is controlled at 4% to 8% of the amount of shrimp in the pond. In order to facilitate the feeding and domestication of the larger individual shrimps, it is necessary to pay attention to the combination of "splashing" and "casting" in the feeding method. The artificial formulated feed for shrimps is best made into granules. It is not appropriate to use powdered compound feeds. The composition of the feed formulation for the shrimp can be based on vegetable feed ingredients, with 20% to 30% of animal feed ingredients, and appropriate amounts of bone meal, shell powder, crab shell powder, trace elements, shrimp and crab dehulling Feed ingredients and feed additives.
4. Prevent damage and escape. When using natural water sources, in order to prevent wild fish and ferocious fish from entering the shrimp pond, the influent water should be filtered with a dense mesh. In order to prevent the shrimps from fleeing, the outlets of the shrimp ponds should also be blocked with a dense mesh cloth. If the shrimps have grown up or the shrimps in the pond have excessive breeding, the drainage outlets can be controlled to control the density of the shrimps in the ponds. Blocking the net is appropriate to change some. If the wild fish in the pond are difficult to prevent, the characteristics of the squid, which do not like predation of the green prawn, can be used to place a small amount of large-sized squid species to control the breeding and reproduction of wild fish.
5. Feeding management. Green prawns are crustaceans and prefer to live in fresh, rich oxygen-rich water bodies. When the dissolved oxygen in the water is above 5 mg/L, the ingestion intensity of the shrimp increases, and the metabolism is vigorous. When the dissolved oxygen in the water is less than 2.5 mg/l, the shrimp gradually stop feeding, and even appear floating head phenomenon and cause the shrimp to suffocate.
6. Water quality management. Regularly inject fresh water, so that the transparency of the shrimp pond water to maintain more than 0.4 meters. Insist on a daily morning tour of the pond. If it is found that the green shrimp climbs to the shore, they should immediately fill with new water or activate aerators to increase oxygen, and prevent floating heads from occurring. Due to water conditions and reasonable fertilization, in order to cultivate rich natural food organisms, shrimp ponds should be fertilized regularly. When fertilizing, it is best to apply some organic fertilizer with long-lasting and stable fertilizer effect. When diseases occur in fish and shrimp polyculture pools, if medications must be used, special care must be taken when using medications to strictly control the types of drugs used and the doses used to ensure the safety of medications.
