Antidepressant
Fluoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor 5- (SSRI), suitable for treatment of various disorders, including depression, depression or mild major depression, bipolar affective disorder, psychogenic depression and depressive neurosis. The mechanism of action is to inhibit the uptake of 5- serotonin from the synaptic gap, and to increase the neurotransmitter available in the gap, thereby improving the emotional state and treating depressed mental disorders. The common side effects were dry mouth, anorexia, nausea, insomnia, asthenia, and a few cases showed anxiety and headache. Due to the long half-life of fluoxetine hydrochloride, the patients with poor liver and kidney function or elderly patients should be appropriately reduced doses. Children should follow the doctor's advice when they are used. Have epilepsy history, pregnant or lactation woman use with caution. If rash or fever occurs, the drug should be discontinued immediately and symptomatic treatment. Should not be used with monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI); if necessary, this drug should be discontinued for 5 weeks before replacing monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI).
