Hyundai Motor introduces new exoskeleton robot

Hyundai Motor, a Korean automaker, has launched a new robotic exoskeleton. In the official blog, Hyundai Motor compares this "wearable robot" prototype to the Iron Man suit, saying it gives the wearer extra power to lift hundreds of kilograms of weight. The company said that in the future exoskeleton can be used in factories, the military, or to help physically recover.

The new robotic exoskeleton was developed on the Hyundai H-LEX platform. Last year Hyundai used the same platform to develop an exoskeleton. This product is now lighter than last year's prototype, but has nearly the same features, designed to help older people and physically disabled people get all the functions of a normal person.

Hyundai is not the only company that develops robotic exoskeletons. Panasonic is developing exoskeletons for factory workers; some researchers are developing lightweight, exoskeleton with only machine legs, and auto companies such as Audi and BMW are already experimenting with multiple exoskeletons. Let the engineers sit and work in midair.
