How Asparagus Scientifically Raise Seedlings

Now it has become One of the country’s major asparagus planting bases. The main cultivation techniques of asparagus are described below:

I. Variety selection

Unlike other vegetables, asparagus is a perennial plant that can be harvested continuously for 15 years at a time. Therefore, it is necessary to use a hybrid generation that is resistant to pests and diseases, has strong resistance to stress, has a short dormancy period, and has good commercial quality and high yield.

Second, nursery

1. Sow. Use 90-360 grains per square meter. Asparagus seeds suitable germination temperature 25 °C ~ 30 °C. Planting time for the greenhouse nursery 1 to 2 months; Yangshuo nursery 2 to 3 months; small arch shelter nursery from late March to late April; open field nursery from late April to mid-August.

2. Seed treatment. Seeds are soaked with 50% carbendazim 300 times (or 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder) for 12 hours; after clearing with fresh water, soaking in warm water at 25°C to 30°C for 24 hours, changing the water 1 or 2 times a day When changing the water, wash the seeds repeatedly to remove the mucus, seed and impurities from the seeds.

3. Germination. The soaked seeds were wrapped in a wet cloth and germinated under conditions of 25°C to 28°C. Rinse 1 to 2 times a day with fresh water, and 5% to 10% of the seed can be sown.

4. Seedbed preparation. Soil fertilization: 3 to 5 kg of high-quality organic fertilizer is applied per square meter, and 20 kg of compound fertilizer is poured into soil.

For pods, sowing: 畦 width of 1.4 meters, the length is not limited, 畦埂 width of 0.2 meters, the greenhouse by 5 cm 5 cm row spacing single seed species, open ground 10 cm 10 cm open sowing ditch, ditch depth of 2 to 3 cm. After the sowing, cover the ditch and immediately drench it. 5. Seedbed management. (1) Temperature: appropriate temperature 15 °C ~ 25 °C, sowing to the emergence temperature 25 °C ~ 30 °C, after emergence to the temperature before planting 20 °C ~ 25 °C, under 15 °C when trying to warm, higher than 35 °C when the release , cool down.

(2) Fertilizer, water: bed soil kept moist before emergence, see dry see wet after emergence. Spray 7 g of potassium dihydrogen phosphate and urea (1:1) per square meter every 15 days at a concentration of 0.5%.

Third, colonization

1. Colonization period. The province will be planted in the spring from late April to mid-May and fall from late July to early August.

2. Planting density. Planting by ditching, row spacing 1.2 to 1.5 meters, plant spacing 25 to 30 cm, density 1500 to 2200 plants/mu.

3. Planting methods. According to the spacing of 25 to 30 cm, the seedlings were planted in the middle of the ditch, and the rhizomes were separated from the ground by 10 cm. The underground stems are in the same direction as the ditch. They are planted on the day of seedlings and watered immediately after planting.

4. Management after planting. Immediately after planting, the seedlings were inspected and seedlings were planted. One month after planting, the plants were combined with watering, and the seedlings were topped with 5 kg/mu urea. The compound fertilizer is applied once every other month, and then each time it is increased by 1 kg/mu.

During the entire growing season of the asparagus, attention was paid to cultivating and weeding. Combined with cultivating several times over the soil, the cover soil height was 10 centimeters.
