Imports of Fuzhou Port Feed increased in the first half of the year

In the first half of the year, Fuzhou Port imported more than 75,000 tons of feed and feed additives, and the value of goods reached more than 130 million US dollars, achieving a double increase in both import volume and value, setting a new high for feed imports in the past five years.

“The Fuzhou Port is one of the major import and distribution centers for feed and feed additives in the country, and it mainly includes Fish meal for feed, fish oil for feed, poultry bone meal, alfalfa and so on.” The person in charge of the relevant department introduced a total inspection of Fuzhou Port from January to June. The import volume and value of 428 batches of imported feed and feed additives, 75,582 tons and 133.75 million US dollars, increased by 10.5% and 30.81% respectively.

It is understood that in the first half of the year, the port of Fuzhou saved costs of 5.26 million yuan such as capital occupation fees, logistics costs, and detention costs by shortening the inspection and quarantine cycle, and the speed of customs clearance also promoted the growth of port imports to a certain extent.
