What is going on here is the effectiveness of the medical reform pilot in Anhui Province? What is the impact on the medical device industry ?
Since April 1 last year, hundreds of public hospitals in Anhui Province have taken the lead in implementing the new medical reform policy, and later expanded to almost all public medical institutions in the province. It has been a year since the New Deal.
As one of the first four pilot provinces for comprehensive medical reform, the possibility of follow-up promotion in Anhui is very high.

Clinical pathway management, consumables revenue decreased by 19.3%

As early as 2010, Anhui had pushed the clinical path management, but the progress was slow and it was stranded. In the second half of 2014, the Anhui Provincial Health Planning Commission restarted the clinical pathway management + disease payment pilot, and selected the first six counties (cities) such as Taihe County. Last year, it expanded to 75 county-level public hospitals, each of which required no fewer than 50 disease types.
How's the effect?
Take the earliest pilot Taihe County People's Hospital as an example. Last year, the hospital's consumables revenue was 63.84 million yuan, down 19.3% from 2014, and pharmaceutical revenue fell 14.7%. The hospital has now completed a clinical pathway diagnosis and treatment program for 314 diseases.
This decline is still very alarming, and it can be seen that clinical pathway management has far more impact on consumables than drugs.
According to the timetable, this year Anhui will expand the number of implemented diseases in county-level hospitals from 50 to 80. By the end of 2017, 70% of discharged patients should implement clinical pathway management.
In addition, urban public hospitals will also be included in the clinical pathway management. By the end of 2017, 50% of all discharged patients in the tertiary hospitals in the province will implement clinical pathway management.
It is estimated that by the end of 2017, the proportion of medicines will drop to 30%, and the sanitary materials consumed per 100 yuan of medical income (excluding pharmaceutical income) will gradually drop below 20 yuan.
