Family is: Carnation family.
Distribution of origin: Origin Siberia and Asia Minor (now part of Turkey). North China also has distribution.
Morphological characteristics: Perennial herb. Plant height 60-90cm, whole plant coat, not branched or unbranched. Leaves opposite, entire, lower leaves ovate, upper leaves lanceolate, amplexicaul, leaf margins and margins with hirsute hairs. Tiles red or bright red, 5 petals, inverted heart-shaped, flower diameter of about 2.5cm, rose red, pink and white flower varieties.
Growth habits: strong growth, cold resistance. Cool, moist, well-lit environment and well-drained sandy loam. Slightly shade-tolerant, resistant to limestone and gravel soil. Flowering from June to September.
