Livestock and poultry cannot be mixed

First, chickens, ducks, and geese cannot be mixed. Some households conserve chickens, ducks, and geese to conserve farms. This method has many drawbacks: First, polyculture can easily cause the spread of diseases. Ducks and geese, like chickens, can be infected with Newcastle disease virus, but the virus is normally lurking in the body and does not show symptoms. If mixed with chicken, it is easy to transmit the virus to the chicken, causing Newcastle disease in the chicken. The second is that polyculture will reduce the utilization of feed. Chickens, ducks, and geese require different levels of nutrition and require different feeds. If they are fed a mixed feed, they will inevitably cause a decrease in feed utilization and feed waste. Third, ducks and geese scream loudly, while chickens prefer to live in quieter environments. If chickens, ducks and geese are mixed, it will affect the fast fattening of broilers, and the egg laying rate of laying hens will be reduced. Fourth, ducks and geese are water fowls, hi water, in the case of a relatively moist farm, it is easy to cause the disease, so the three are not suitable for mixed together.
Second, chickens, rabbits can not be mixed with some farmers to save space to engage in three-dimensional farming, in the rabbit ring set up cage chicken, chicken droppings scattered in rabbits, rabbits pick up chicken manure to eat. Chickens are prone to cholera and rabbits are susceptible to pasteurosis. Chicken cholera and rabbit pasteurellosis are caused by the same disease, Pasteurella multocida, which exists in various animals and does not necessarily cause disease. For some reasons, animal disease resistance is reduced, Pasteurella virulence is enhanced, it can cause animal epidemic. Chickens are more prone to cholera, and when a chicken farm (or village) becomes popular, Pasteurella that enhances its virulence can make healthy chickens sick. Diseased chicken excrement contains a large number of highly virulent Pasteurella, when the rabbit comes into contact with it, it can be infected and cause epidemic. In addition, coccidiosis is very serious in chickens and rabbits, and most adult chickens and rabbits contain large amounts of coccidia eggs in their feces. Chickens and young rabbits may be exposed to these feces to infect and increase the possibility of epidemic of coccidiosis.
Third, the male and female cannot be mixed with male and female hens. The rams will often chase the ewes. The sheep will not be calm, affecting the ewes' feeding, and more importantly, they are prone to natural mating. There are ewes pregnant, lambs, to bring trouble to the feeding and management of the sheep. The best season for ewes lambs is in winter and spring. When the winter lambs are weaned, they are catching up with the weather and eating grass. They grow fast and have a high survival rate. They are sexually mature from July to August. If males and females are polycultured, mature and immature rams will be mated. Old, small and weak ewes will conceive, which will seriously affect the growth of young ewe and the development of the fetus. At the same time, male and female polyculture can easily cause inbreeding, genetic disease, loss of hybrid advantage, is not conducive to the "prenatal and postnatal care" of the sheep.
Fourth, cattle, horses can not feed the same tank is a single stomach animal, eat less, eat slowly, eat about 15 kg of hay every day, time takes 5 to 6 hours, while eating, chewing, pharynx. The cow is a ruminant and has four stomachs. It has a large appetite and fast food intake. It can eat chopped silage corn stalks 15 kilograms in one hour, eat 5 kilograms of concentrate in 20 minutes, and then pour it. Serving horses are fed 4 to 5 times a day, and cattle can be used three times a day. If the cows and horses are fed in the same tank, it will inevitably result in the feedstuffs that have not been chewed by the cows before, and they will feed the horses for the next time so that the cows may experience rumen accumulation or aerogenesis.
