Molex, a global manufacturer of complete interconnect solutions, announced the completion of the acquisition of specific assets of Soligie, Inc.
Soligie specializes in developing print and flexible electronics solutions for applications in the medical , military, industrial, lighting and consumer products industries. The product range covers sensor systems, wearable medical devices, LED lighting, dedicated RFID tags, and devices for implementing the Internet of Things (IoT).
The strategic acquisition of the Soligie business complements Molex's printed circuit-based solutions, including membrane switches, polymer thick film circuits, flexible pass circuits, and printed circuit board assemblies.
Todd Hester, vice president and general manager of Molex's Printed Circuits business unit, said: "Soligie's business further expands our capabilities in the rapidly growing field of printed electronics. With this acquisition, we offer a range of more comprehensive technologies. And expertise to create more innovative electronic solutions."
Soligie can introduce Molex to a variety of innovative design services, process development, prototyping, product development, and a range of printing platforms for high-precision, high-volume, roll-to-roll printed circuit manufacturing. These technologies enable the development of custom proprietary solutions that offer customers a high price/performance ratio with fewer components.

Soligie was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Savage, Minnesota.
