Control method of root rot nematode disease

Helicobium nematophila is a small nematode that exists in the soil. It mainly damages the roots and other underground organs of the host plant. Occasionally, it infiltrates the shoots, such as stems, fruits, etc., and the tissue of the infected site turns dark brown and is immersed in water. There are scars on the surface, and the roots are short and rot. The aboveground parts show dwarf growth, withering, or death. In terms of prevention and control, proper application of nitrogenous fertilizers, especially urea, can inhibit the occurrence of shortworms. Choose healthy and insect-free propagation materials, and select appropriate temperature and time combinations according to the sensitivity of different propagation materials to temperature, and conduct hot water treatment on the propagation materials. The soil is treated with mustard-killing and other fumigant killing agents before planting. After planting, non-fumigated killing agents such as pyrethroids, chlorhexidine, mirerol, and phorate may be used for prevention and treatment.
